ICDX Journalist Class: Introduction to the Commodity Futures Trading Industry
Thursday, 12 August 2021

Commodity Futures Trading (PBK) in Indonesia has great potential to be developed. Starting from foreign exchange commodities, mineral commodities, and mining to crops. Some of these commodities are already traded on ICDX and are growing significantly. This can be seen from the growth in the value and volume of PBK transactions on the Futures Exchange during 2020 with a total transaction volume of 13,210,336 lots, or an increase of 18.85 percent compared to the same period in 2019. However, there are still many people who do not understand PBK well. Whereas PBK can be an alternative investment for the community.

The Indonesia Commodity & Derivatives Exchange (ICDX) aims to become a global trading center by bringing technology and best practices to the Indonesian market by modernizing Indonesian PBK, while actively providing commodity market insights to educate the public on PBK.

As the public's main source of information, the media plays an important role in disseminating accurate information about the PBK industry, the Commodity Exchange, and its products to the public. Therefore, ICDX held its first journalist class this year for media partners as an introduction to the PBK industry and ICDX's flagship derivative product, GOFX, virtually (4/8).
