The rapid development of the digital asset market requires market practitioners to adapt and balance conventional financial market practices with the digital asset market. The Association Futures Market (AFM) held a "Digital Transformation and the Future of Financial and Commodity Markets" workshop on January 26, 2023, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The annual workshop organized by AFM was attended by CEOs of the world's leading exchanges and aimed to become a forum for thought leaders to exchange ideas and discuss the latest trends in the financial and commodity worlds, especially digital asset commodities and carbon credits.

ICDX Group participated in the workshop where the CEO of Indonesia Clearing House (ICH), Megain Widjaja attended as a speaker at a panel session entitled "Impact of Blockchain on Financial and Commodities Market Infrastructures". In the panel session, there were several important points such as:

• Trends point to the tech industry's greatest impact coming from cloud-based digitization, ESG, and DeFi.
• Crypto market services will be improved in the future. There is a need to be innovative because the growth of crypto shows the need to democratize the market. Collaboration is indispensable in crypto trading to create market deepening.
• One of the biggest innovations in the clearing is the technology itself, it begs the question of how we should build the tech: in-house or vendor-based.
