
Recognized as a rising star in Indonesian business, Megain Widjaja, a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance and Accounting from Seattle University, brings a depth of strategic leadership and marketing experience to the ICDX team. Having successfully founded Focus Media Indonesia, a leading Indonesian media company which he ran between 2006 and early 2009, Megain’s focus at ICDX is on developing relationships with regulators, international exchanges and industry participants.
Prior returning to Jakarta in 2006, Megain worked at R.A Bench Wealth Management, Seattle, as an investment officer, where he was responsible for handling individual and corporate clients’ investments across a range of financial instruments including hedge funds and commodity funds. In 2003 Megain spent time working in the Global Treasury Solutions team at Wachovia Bank, Singapore.
Arwadi Setiabudi has been involved in the futures and derivatives industry in Indonesia since 2000. He started by providing the back office systems to a number of futures and derivatives brokerage houses in Indonesia through his company PT. Polamedia Mestika Pratama. In addition to providing consulting services and IT solutions Arwadi progressed to the role of CEO with an OTC Market Making business in Jakarta. He has since established himself as an industry expert and continues to work with a number of market leading firms and has worked closely with the CEO and Directors of both the Jakarta Futures Exchange and the Kliring Berjagka Indonesia (Clearing House). Arwadi has built a strong relationship with the regulator (BAPPEBTI or CoFTRA) and is heavily involved in an advisory role to help improve the commodity trading industry in Indonesia.
Prior to the futures and derivatives industry Arwadi founded an IT solutions business, PT. Rekayasa Benda Comindo and served as its sole Director between 1997 and January 2000. It provided technology development services to US NYSE and NASDAQ listed businesses.
Prior to managing his own venture Arwadi was Head of Network and Distributed Systems at DataQuick Information System, a subsidiary of Axciom (NASDAQ:ACXM), and Head of IT Division of Bank Kesawan, Jakarta.
Arwadi received a Bachelor of Science degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Portland, Oregon in 1991; and later earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1993. Arwadi is one of the original Microsoft Certified Engineers (Certified Professional # 9168). He is also certified by Rational University and HOW Modeling School.
